Solo Properties have been in business since 2005. Owned by Gerhard Prinsloo & Sean Alblas, we started as a being part of a nation-wide franchise realty group and in 2020 decided to break away from the group to operate independent. This strategy allowed us to broaden our horizons and we are therefor able to operate country wide and are not limited to certain areas or towns. We currently operate in Hartbeespoort, Brits, Krugersdorp, Roodepoort, Johannesburg, Randfontein Port Elizabeth.

Following a tumultuous period for the South African economy resulting from the covid19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, South Africans could be forgiven for being generally pessimistic about the future of the economy, and by extension the property market.

The interest rate cuts of 2020 continue to contribute to property market growth, making property investment more viable, especially for first-time home buyers. In fact, FNB data shows that home buyers under 35 account for 43% of residential sales, a 38% increase from 2019. House prices are not rising rapidly as a result of the economic climate, meaning that the buyer’s market of 2020 continues in 2021.
