As buyers and investors flock to Hartbeespoort, the property market ‘s performance has exploded over the last two years with turnovers last year up by over 50% on the prior year.

Donna Nass, licensee for Seeff Hartbeespoort and Brits says the brand grew its market share by a phenomenal 63% between January and April. The average selling price in Hartbeespoort over the last three months stands at around R2.2 million.

She says Seeff is proud to have played a significant role in assisting property sellers, buyers and investors with their property needs and garnering significant market share.

Donna has operated in the market for many years and brings significant knowledge and expertise in helping clients make the right property choices. She says Hartbeespoort has become a fabulous country hotspot for buyers as they look for better lifestyle options.

Hartbeespoort is a great alternative for those who do not want to move from the big metro areas of Gauteng or who have business interests there, she says. It is of course also a fantastic choice if you want to move out of the big city areas to a quieter country town, but still with access to the cities.

The proximity to the Gauteng metros including Johannesburg and Pretoria makes it ideal whether you want to relocate to a more country-like environment or invest in a second property. She says Hartbeespoort is close enough for weekends and holidays and you could commute if you have business interest in the big cities.

The town caters for all ages, whether older buyers looking to retire, families or younger buyers. The lifestyle is just fabulous with beautiful scenery and the dam for whatever water sport you desire. It is a haven for outdoor lovers. You can enjoy boating, yachting, river rafting, walking, jogging, hiking, cycling and mountain biking among many other leisure activities.

Hartbeespoort offers a great outdoor lifestyle with good security and beautiful scenery with views of the Magaliesberg Mountains. Residents and visitors can enjoy a wonderful water-sport lifestyle with yachting and boating, river rafting as well as outdoor mountain biking, cycling, and hiking, she says further.

Sun City is only about 90-minutes and Brits only about a half an hour drive. The needs of residents and visitors are catered for with shops such as The Village Mall Shopping Centre and there are also many schooling options and private primary and secondary schools in the area.

The town is renowned for the Hartbeespoort Dam and Crocodile River with its white-water rapids. It offers many attractions including the Aerial Cableway, Miracle Waters, the Ann van Dyk big-cat sanctuary and beautiful natural surroundings.

There is plenty of good stock on the market. These range from vacant land priced from R400,000 to apartments from R780,000 and houses from R1.7 million. There are several gated estates where you can find a choice of fabulous homes, ranging from around R2.2 million and top-end luxury homes from around R6 million.

It remains an excellent time to invest in property and despite the recent hikes, the interest rate remains below the pre-pandemic level of early 2020. The banks are also still offering favourable lending conditions.
