HARTIES BUSINESS CENTRE MEMBER PROFILE

To prioritize tasks and manage my time effectively, I rely on a structured approach that focuses on clear goals, planning, and flexibility. At the start of each week, I outline my priorities across business coaching, life coaching, and sports performance sessions, which helps me visualize the week and allocate specific time blocks for client sessions, administrative tasks, and personal development.

  1. What inspired you to start your business, and how did you identify the need in the market?

I was inspired to start my coaching business because I’ve always been passionate about helping people unlock their potential and achieve their goals. Through business, life, and sports performance coaching, I saw a way to empower individuals and teams to overcome obstacles, reach new levels of success, and find fulfilment. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch people discover their strengths, build resilience, and grow personally and professionally.

I identified a need in the market through my work with individuals and teams, where I noticed recurring challenges in personal and professional growth, resilience, and goal achievement. People were looking for structured support to improve their mindset, performance, and overall well-being, but many existing options lacked a holistic approach that combined business coaching, life coaching, and sports performance. By offering a blend of these services—along with tools like assessments and InBody analysis for sport psychology clients—I realized I could meet a unique demand for comprehensive, personalized coaching that helps clients achieve balanced and sustainable progress.

2. How do you prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively with so many demands on your attention?

To prioritize tasks and manage my time effectively, I rely on a structured approach that focuses on clear goals, planning, and flexibility. At the start of each week, I outline my priorities across business coaching, life coaching, and sports performance sessions, which helps me visualize the week and allocate specific time blocks for client sessions, administrative tasks, and personal development.

Time blocking is crucial—I schedule dedicated blocks for client work, group sessions, and follow-up tasks, which minimizes distractions and keeps me focused.

Recognizing the importance of balance, I also schedule self-care and professional growth activities to stay refreshed and provide optimal support. Honestly, I am trying to free up personal time for regular exercise.  I see this as a big struggle in work-life balance.  My priorities are changing as I am finding a better balance to find more time for myself. Regularly reviewing and adjusting my plan helps me remain adaptable to urgent client needs or new opportunities, ensuring I maintain high-quality service across all coaching areas. This approach allows me to stay organized, attentive, and fully present for each client’s unique needs.

3. Can you share an experience where a failure led to a breakthrough or significant growth in your business?

A pivotal experience that led to significant growth in my business was taking voluntary retrenchment. Initially, the decision felt risky, and I worried about stepping away from a stable role. However, it became a transformative opportunity. With more time and focus, I fully committed to building my coaching practice, expanding services in business, life, and sport performance coaching. The retrenchment forced me to confront my fears, sharpen my skills, and deepen my understanding of client needs. This leap ultimately allowed me to design unique, high-impact programs and invest more in personalized client experiences, which became the foundation for my business’s growth and success.

4. How do you approach networking and building valuable business relationships?

I approach networking and building valuable business relationships with a focus on authenticity and long-term connection. My coaching journey has shown me that relationships thrive when based on mutual respect and shared values. I’ve connected with diverse clients and industry professionals, deepening trust and creating meaningful interactions. I also actively participate in industry events, workshops, and local networking groups, seeing each interaction as an opportunity to learn, share insights, and foster growth. By offering genuine support, sharing knowledge, and finding collaborative opportunities, I’m able to build connections that not only enhance my business but also add real value to my clients and peers.

5. How do you measure the impact of your business on your community or industry?

I measure the impact of my business on the community and industry by focusing on client outcomes, feedback, and engagement. Positive shifts in their resilience, goal achievement, and overall satisfaction reflect the value of my coaching approach. I also gauge impact by the relationships I’ve built and the partnerships I’ve developed within the community—participating in workshops, industry events, and local groups where my insights contribute to broader conversations in coaching and performance. Ultimately, seeing clients reach their potential and receiving feedback about the positive changes in their lives or teams indicates that my business is making a meaningful difference.
