Annemarie Hayward comes from a medical background. She was a professional nurse that spend most of her time in psychiatric and ICU wards. In 1999 at the age of 35 she went to Saudi Arabia where she worked in ICU and only returned to SA in 2003. by Marinda Sauerman
She changed course and became a Medical Rep and, in this time, dealt with enormous personal challenges and had to undergo a series of operations, but as fate would have it, she also met a role-changer, who introduced her to the cosmetic side of medicine and to a revolutionary product that Annamarie was so taken with – she used it to re-shape her life by taking a leap of faith into the world of beauty. And to top that, she was brave enough to open her own business, called Revive, during covid.
What does PRP stand for?
Platelet-Rich Plasma is revolutionary technology that uses a client’s own blood to regenerate an individual’s blood plasma, or PRP.
What can a person that comes to your beauty clinic for help and PRP expect?
They have their blood drawn, (which is where my nursing comes in handy), and their blood then goes through an intensive process. This golden coloured liquid has high concentrations of platelets and white blood cells that contains at least 60 growth and repairing factors (giving rise to the term “diamond”). In the case of baldness, it can be used to stimulate the growth factors that are responsible for the regeneration and restoration of hair follicles, enabling new, healthy hair to grow when it is injected into the area of concern.
We work closely with other medical professionals and refer clients to them if their treatment falls out of our field of expertise.
Results can be seen three to four weeks after procedure.

What products do you use and what makes them work?
I use products that are medically developed by Professor Snyman of the University of Pretoria (TUKS). He is the brilliance behind the product and is also the compounding pharmacologist. Everything we use has a medical platform. We use the anatomy of the individual skin to achieve specific results. All the products work together to ensure maximum cosmetic results. We use the blood of the client to replace the PRP.
This procedure is much healthier than something like cortisone and is used by lung, dentistry, skin and medical professionals when they do implants. The medical technology behind these products and methods is huge – it is astronomical!
What dream do you have for Revive?
I would love to take the business to different levels and empower other woman to start their own business. I would like to sell the concept to other medical professionals to empower their circles.
