Very recently and shockingly we all learnt of a alleged scandal involving the previous minister of Health and a company called Digital Vibes. If you were out of data for the last 6 months or forgot to turn on any TV or Radio, here is a short recap.
Solo Properties have been in business since 2005. Owned by Gerhard Prinsloo & Sean Alblas, we started as a being part of a nation-wide franchise realty group and in 2020 decided to break away from the group to operate independent. This strategy allowed us to broaden our horizons and we are therefor able to operate country wide and are not limited to certain areas or towns. We currently operate in Hartbeespoort, Brits, Krugersdorp, Roodepoort, Johannesburg, Randfontein Port Elizabeth.
There are diverse skills women bring to a business table when allowed to be part of the leadership structure – a different perspective and impartiality when faced with matters concerning employment, partnerships and making final decisions. My personal observation is that they are often also well-grounded and driven.

Being an entrepreneur is a mixed bag. It can be very liberating as you run your own show, you decide what to do and when. However, you are mostly alone and making decisions can be tough. In the long run, you reap the benefits of your success but also feel the pain when failure strikes. This is where accountability comes into play. The lack of accountability can be a real problem and may lead to loss of control, to becoming pessimistic and create a situation where you are not able to get up and fight again.
