With just four months left of the year, I found myself reflecting on the journey so far. I’ve heard many stories, some of incredible success, and others of entrepreneurs who had to close their doors. This year has not been easy for many business owners, especially with the ongoing economic challenges in South Africa.
Being a mom is more than biology. It’s in the gentle way you guide your younger sibling. It’s in how you show up for your friends, your nieces and nephews, your partner, how you comfort, protect, and give selflessly when no one is watching. It’s in the nurturing role you take at work, at home, or in your community.
find your own happiness. Happiness isn’t something to search for in a place, a person, or an achievement; it’s something that resides within you. As 2025 unfolds, make the decision that you will choose happiness, no matter what life throws your way. Challenges will come, but view them as valuable lessons, as part of the process that moulds you into a stronger, wiser person.
The digital world is always changing, and we need to keep up with it, especially if we’re starting a business, even more so if we’re older. This means we must learn new things all the time to stay on top of what’s happening.
As we start on the new year, it symbolizes fresh beginnings, novel business concepts, and innovative ideas. There’s an inexplicable surge of courage that motivates individuals to initiate new ventures. As an entrepreneur, I’ve witnessed numerous startups, some blossoming into success stories, while others face the harsh reality of entrepreneurial setbacks, leading them back to conventional employment.
