My name is Samantha Lewies, and I’m happily married to a wonderful husband who supports me in everything I do. We’re blessed with two amazing kids, aged 12 and 14, who inspire me to pursue my dreams. After finishing my studies, I spent some time working in London, where I discovered my passion for interior decorating. When I returned to South Africa, I gained valuable experience working for an interior decorating company specializing in window treatments for eight years. This experience reaffirmed my love for making spaces beautiful and enriching people’s lives.
After taking a break to focus on raising my children and traveling with my husband, I returned to my passion for interior decorating. I worked for industry leaders in textiles and design until the end of 2023, broadening my knowledge and skills even further. Finally, in 2024, I fulfilled my lifelong dream of starting my own interior decorating and styling business called NEW VISION INTERIORS.

Joining me in this venture is my mother, Dorette Schoonraad. Dorette brings a wealth of experience from her 18 years as a co-owner of a paint outlet, where she found joy in helping people beautify their homes. Her creative spirit and love for challenges have been instrumental in our journey. Together, we make a dynamic team, complementing each other’s strengths. While I focus on design and styling, Dorette handles administrative tasks, procurement, and project management. Our different styles and perspectives enrich our collaboration, making us a strong and successful partnership.
