Johannesburg, South Africa — Gaming in South Africa is headed towards a significant upgrade, following the announcement of Hisense SA’s partnership with RGB Gaming – the country’s leading force in esports education. Together, Hisense SA and RGB Gaming aim to redefine competitive gaming landscapes across schools and universities nationwide, to transform gaming into a high-performance career path for thousands of young South Africans.

RGB Gaming have already integrated structured esports programmes into primary schools, high schools, and universities, with the goal of nurturing a generation of digitally fluent, team-oriented, competitive gamers.

Now, with Hisense SA as the official tech partner, learners and competitive players alike can experience gaming through Hisense’s top-tier gaming technology – including the powerful PX3 Pro Laser TV, the ultra-portable C2 Laser Mini Projector, and its premium gaming TV range. All three product categories will be incorporated  into RGB Gaming’s training environments and events, to ensure that performance matches ambition, pixel for pixel.

“Gaming culture and its competitive appeal is a rapidly growing industry in South Africa,” says Luna Nortje, Deputy General Manager at Hisense SA. “We are honoured to be working alongside RGB Gaming to ensure that competitive gamers in SA have access to high-performance displays that are capable of meeting the demands of next-gen consoles and high-speed gameplay.”

The range of products being made available to young South African gamers will include the Hisense gaming TV Range, which refers to the ULED MINI LED and QLED models, engineered with low input lag, ultra-smooth refresh rates (144hz / 165hz), and Dolby Vision-Atmos. These TVs are designed to give gamers a competitive edge and cinematic immersion.

Hisense’s PX3 Pro Laser Trichroma Cinema is also included in the product categories, offering a high-end 4K ultra-short throw projector, designed for Xbox, to deliver ultra-large, vibrant visuals with precise color accuracy and lightning-fast response times. The PX3 Pro Laser is ideal for tournaments and home setups alike.

Lastly, the partnership also includes the use of Hisense’s C2 Laser Mini Projector, which offers the ultimate portable gaming companion. The C2 packs powerful laser projection into a sleek, compact design, allowing gamers to experience big-screen gaming whether in a dorm room, lounge, or gaming event.

“Partnering with Hisense SA allows us to elevate the quality of our esports platforms and reach more young gamers with the tools they need to succeed,” says Jaco Sauer, Co-Founder of RGB Gaming. “This is not just about tech; it’s about increasing access to competitive gaming opportunities for South African youth.”

Together, Hisense SA and RGB Gaming aim to play a key role in supporting the development of grassroots gaming initiatives, educational programs, and tournaments, to nurture young talent and broaden access to high-quality gaming gear across South Africa.

Gamers and tech enthusiasts are welcome to experience these products first-hand at Comic Con Africa in Johannesburg this August, where the brand will showcase its high-performance displays alongside RGB Gaming’s interactive esports setup.
