I suggest eating healthier fats to start (such as coconut) MCTs are a form of fat that are more easily digested and absorbed. Coconut oil is a great source of&nbsp;<strong>MCTs&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;bringing this into your diet will assist with digestion.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Limit or avoid gallbladder-unfriendly&nbsp;<\/strong>foods such as&nbsp;onions, milk, pork, poultry, coffee, nuts, corn, tomatoes, and oranges. You might want to avoid these, at least until your fat digestion improves.<\/li><li><strong>Support your liver<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Reduce alcohol intake&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Cease smoking<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Improve eating habits<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Smaller, frequent meals may help with better absorption (or two well balanced meals a day, cutting out dinner \u2013 fast through to breakfast \u2013 this rests your digestion and enables it to perform better.)<\/li><li>Chew food thoroughly and relax at mealtime (this helps get digestive juices flowing and working early on through your saliva).<\/li><li>Taking deep breaths and practicing belly breathing can help to ease the body into its relaxed, rest-and-digest mode.<\/li><li>Ensure you stay hydrated, but don\u2019t drink with meals (it dilutes those important digestive juices).<\/li><li>Stop taking acid-blockers if you are taking them. This will impair your digestion.<\/li><li>Consider adding digestive herbs to the meal.<\/li><li>Consider adding spices that may help with fat digestion and absorption such as&nbsp;coriander, turmeric, red chili, black pepper, cumin, and ginger.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the previous articles we learned how hypothyroidism affects your pancreatic digestion and what effect this has on your body.
